Pesticide Labeling

When used properly, pesticides can increase our comfort, protect our health and food, and have low risk to the natural environment and non-target species. Given the possible human and ecological effects could occur through improper pesticide usage and handling, it is imperative to follow label instructions and safety precautions when pesticide products are used.

FIFRA section 2(p) defines the term "label" as "the written, printed, or graphic matter on, or attached to, the pesticide or device or any of its containers or wrappers."
